Jason and I thought it would be fun to head downtown for the opening celebration at Chase Stadium. Everyone was jazzed up to get autographs from the DBacks.
A quick stop at Sports Authority for baseballs and we were on our way. Five dollars for parking, check. Free admission for the family, check. Fun and games on the field, check. Voucher for autographs, nada. Oops, who knew? Not us. Once it was found out by the kids no autographs, moaning and groaning began. At least now we know to get there early and get vouchers for next year.
The boys got to hit three pitches off a DBacks catcher, look at and wish for various signed cards and paraphernalia for sale. Syd got to go down a blow up slide. The highlight for me was the tour of the dug out, and club house.
Go Diamondbacks, here's hoping for a season as awesome as the Cardinals!
